94 SPi help starting/running

Hi,
My 1994 SPi was not starting and I figured the problem was spark related so I switched the electrical box out with the box from my 1993 SP. The wires were a little different but I used the wiring diagrams in the shop manual to make it fit. After I did the swap the jetski was still not starting but after 5 minutes of playing with it I got it to start however it dies instantly after it starts. You hear the engine start to run and then it turns off immediately. Is it doing this because I put the 93 SP computer in it? Or do I have other problems besides the computer? I'm going back up to the lakehouse this weekend please help me troubleshoot. Thanks,

Do you have resistor sparkplugs in it? They should be NGK BR8ES.

Thanks for replying,
I have the right spark plugs, I tried using the set that was working a few months ago, and I tried using a brand new set.

Check all ground wires in the electrical system. I'm sorry I cannot be more specific, but when ignitions shut off, it usually means bad connections and they can be anywhere in the system where there is a ground.
Does your MPEM have little squrae relay boxes on it? It could be a bad relay ?

It does have relays however the mpem was pulled from a working 93 SP that I have in my garage, so I do not believe the relays are bad.

I will check all grounds this weekend thanks again.
