  • New SBT white 587 engine break-in

Just bought a white 587 (single carb) SBT engine. I like the pre-mix idea - do I mix gas with the SBT break-in oil (32:1) for first tank and also put break-in oil in the oil tank or can I put in regular oil in oil tank?

Only regular oil goes in the tank. If you are going pre-mix, the tank is just a resevoir for the oil bath at that point.

        New Question,

Does SBT recommend synthetic or regular oil for a white 587? Regular or premium gas?

Regular mineral oil that meets the OEM spec's the easiest answer is to buy the OEM's oil from the dealer....or in your case many Wal-Mart stores carry the Sea-Doo mineral oil in their boating department for less than $20.00 per 4-liter jug...some Wal-Mart stores also carry the 1-liter bottles of the same oil as well.

Regular gas, whatever type of oil you want.
