i now understand i guess that if the rotary seal in the yellow seadoo engine is bad a oil pump removal wont help- the oil tank remains for lubing the valve ? i went thru oh 1-2 quarts of oil in 2 hours- good spark kept it running - at 1st i was hoping the premix would lube the valve but this is not the case?

Re: oil consumption yellow seadoo motor
i havent removed the pump yet but i was stranded in the muskegon river without a plug wrench to blow some of the excess oil out of the case - with both plugs removed - watta day wow -- ive installed inline shutoff valves in the oil lines feeding the pump & bath -- my dealer says twc -3 is light enough to not worry about cavitating the pump --shutoff valves are ok - im now pretty sure i only need the one valve inline to the bath - very bad internal seal- on another note a usual upgrade from the short electrode B8ES is going to a BP8ES --little longer to get the kernel lit a little better? anyone running the "P" NGK plugs in their sleds? sorry - pwcs?

Re: oil consumption yellow seadoo motor
ok i put it in lake lansing (michigan) today - for a few minutes- till it was obvious the bath oil is invading the crankcase too much to run- nursed it to shore feathering the choke- brought it home- the drive train is now on the bench - jettisoned the oil pump - block plate is due here within days does the mag box interfere with the removal of the lower end cap? hope not - does the crank need to be removed to service the bath seals?
