95 Spx Carb Linkage

I just got threw working on my carbs and seem to have a problem. My thumb throttle will not return to the idle position. The only cable i removed was the one behind the carbs. It is atached to a leiver that comes out of the block. It looks like this is the problem,but i do not know how it is supose to work. Any ideas ?

Did you take the carbs apart? If so did you put the carb return spring back in?

I found out what the problem was. There is a spring loaded leiver that comes out of the manifold, behind the carbs. This leiver has to be turned 1.5 turns (clockwise).The throtle return cable is hooked into this leiver and pulls the throtle back to idle. If this is not hooked up properly it will not idle back when reved up.
It took me about 6 times putting everything together and taking it back apart befor i realized how it is supose to work.
