  • 787 in 580 hull...Help me out, I'm a newbie

Hey all, I'm a newbie to riding jet-skis and all that jazz...I just purchased a 93 sea-doo SP 580cc, hull is in great condition, motor is blown. I want to swap out for a SBT 787cc, I'd appreciate any opinions, tips, or fingers pointing me in the right direction.
For the most part, I should be able to understand most of the technical jargon, I've studied motors and what-not, and taken apart a few in my time.
    Thanks everybody-
    I'm a newbie...

I think the 720 is the biggest one that will fit without alot of fiberglass work. The bigger motors mount in three places where the 720 and smaller are in 4 places.

and you have to exchange the motor u return to SBT, i dont think they will give you the option to buy a 787 and return a different 580 motor.

K...Either way, I'd like to know if it's feasible without major fabrication. I am experienced with metal fabrication and machining, but wouldn't know the first thing about fiberglass work. Any pointers?
