  • Spark Plugs

I was checking the plugs on my ski and i noticed the front plug doesn't get as hot as the back 1,so i changed the wires around and still the front isn't as hot
has anyone ever noticed this?also on the front 1 I trimmed it back 1/2 inch

    Re: Spark Plugs

Changing the wires will have no effect on the temp, unless, one of them isn't firing at all. The PTO (back) cylinder will normally run hotter, adjust the high speed screw on the carbs to change how hot each cylinder runs. Clockwise lean(hot) counterclockwise rich (cooler).

      Re: Spark Plugs

Both sparkplugs fire at the exact same time on that model motor.

No two stroke motor runs exactly the same temp in both clyinders. But, you can get them closer by richening the fuel mixture for the hot clyinder. Not that you probably need to if the motor is stock..
