    While removing pto flywheel on my 97 xp the outer 3" dia. with 4 cogs spun loose from the 5" dia. that threads onto crankshaft. I pressed back on but dont like the idea that it might come loose while riding. Can these be welded?

    Not unless you know someone who can weld aluminum to steel.

      What years pto flywheel will fit 97 xp and are they all two piece pto's?

        1997 was a one-off year. Only 1997 XP pto's fit.

        You might try drilling and pinning the old one.

            Can you drill and tap it and thread in a bolt on each side, symmetricly to keep it balanced, lock washer and locktite and i think youll be good to go.
