  • 951 15 amp fuse blows

I have a GTX 951 ski that keeps blowing the 15Amp fuse. If you disconnect the harness from the mag housing it will not blow. I removed the front engine cover and stator and didn't find any short to ground on any wire or visable problems with the coils. If you connect it back to the wire harness it will not blow the fue until you ground it to the engine and then the fuse will blow.

Are there any other sourced of this type of problem? Maybe the MPEM itself?

Just because you did not see an obivious short in the stator does not mean it is not shorted out. Look for discolored coils. Run a test on it.

I checked the resistance on each coil and check to see if any were shorted to ground and ther were not. I am going to unplug the regulator rectifier to see if that is it looking at other posts.
