I've got a 95 SPX(loaner) that started up ran for 5 seconds(no problems prior) and then died and hasn't restarted since. I replaced the plugs and they are firing. The plugs are soaked with gas. I made sure there is no water in the gas tank. Is there anything other than needing a carb rebuild that could cause it? I was told the carbs were rebuilt last year by a dealership.

Re: 95 SPX won't start
The only thing between the fuel tank and the engine that could cause the motor to flood with fuel is the carbureator. Assuming the choke is not stuck shut, the needles and seats inside the carbureators are the valves that allows fuel through and into the motor. I'd be looking there for the problem.Bill O'Neal <br>
