Any mod i have ever wanted to do to my XP (which has a FP) has been met with "do not use any other mods with a factory pipe" kinda thing. You can make mods, but you have to know exactly what you are doing! otherwise you could seize your engine.

A Spec2 uses ECWI to inject water into the head pipe. The kit calls for the removal of the oem water regulator on the muffler and to install a brass fitting into that fitting, then you can jet the fitting later for more performance. The Water regulators that came on 1995-1996 XP's did not last long, especially when used in saltwater. To get rid of that whole problem, we used a 140 main jet in the fitting in the waterbox in place of the water regulator and we tapped the midpipe brass fitting and installed a 95 main jet in that fitting.

We then were able to gain a couple hundered rpm over the water regulator setup. The important thing to remember is to keep the jets cleaned on a regular basis. Salt and exhaust residue clogged them up.

Bill will this work on a 96 GTX with a stock exhaust because i dont know if the water regulator is working right on my ski.

            Yes and No,
I would not do this to a stock GTX. Fix your water regulator or whatever is causing you to not reach at least 6750 rpm.
