Need help - 1996 seadoo

I need someone to let me know what may be wrong with my 96 GTX. After misjudging how close I was to shore I had to make a very fast stop to avoid the shoreline. I jammed my ski into reverse and gunned it. I saved my boat from hitting the shore and burried myself in water. However ever since then it will not always run right. Sometimes it will only get up to 4000 rpms then when I let it cool down and start fresh it will run fine. After it warms up it seems to lose power and run bad again. Let me know what I'm needing to look for. Thanks!

You may have gotten sand or debris in your cooling and overheated the engine. I would check compression and see what that is and make sure it is within spec. 135-150psi. Also it may be as simple as weeds in teh jet pump.
