I need to remove my carb and have everything off except one cable that I can't disconnect. one lead end goes through the oil bracket (?) and the other through the carb. I took a mirror and see no clip underneath. How do I take this final cable off? Thanks, Tuni

      It's a single carb (# M4726450). I assume it's a '97 because the last two haul nbrs end in 97.

If I understand you correctly the 5" cable will remain on the engine. All I saw on the carb looked like I need to take a nut off (that holds a bracket and springs etc). I just don't get it because I have a new carb coming and it sounds like I need to take it apart from the get go. I'll look for set screws ... maybe I'm missing something.
