  • 94 GTX lots of smoke from exhaust

Is there any adjustment for the injection on the GTX, or is this just a bad ring or sticking ring. I don't notice smoke while in the water just when I crank it out of the water for a few minutes. Smoke seems to pore out of the exhaust.

    Help,

    Thanks,

as long as the plugs are not fouling, smoke is good. No smoke is what you should worry about.

Sometimes the oil quality can affect the amount of smoke the ski emits....It is also possible on your model, that the oil injection pump control cable came off, broke, or was not installed correctly when the carbs were re-installed. All of these are easy fixes....

      As a side note:
On the 1994 GTX's: There was a problem with the oil injection hoses from the pump to the RV cover/intake manifold deteriorating , and resulting in destroyed engines...if the hoses are clear and intact, they are probably ok, But if you have any doubt replace them with new OEM hose...it's cheap less than $10.00 for more than you will ever use in a lifetime on one ski!!!
