  • Couple of questions

    OK. Actually 3 questions:

    1) Where is a good place to get a pop-off pressure gauge? I want to rebuild the carbs over the winter and want to do it right.
    2) Is there any substitute for See-Doo Lube I can get at an auto parts store?
    3) I don't have any kind of maintenance manual for this boat. Anyone have a suggestion on a good book and where I could get it?

    Thanks for the help.

    Re: Couple of questions

A Sea Doo dealership is the only place to buy a good service manual for your boat.
There are lots of differnt brands of two sroke fogging oils. Any brand will do, but I doubt you will find them in anyplace other than a boat store.

I sell Mikuni Pop Off testers $50 ea.

"Sea-Doo Lube" is an aerosol product that is used to spray on the engine as a corrosion preventative. The product is now called "Bombardier Lube" on the label, but most folks still call it Sea-Doo Lube. There are numerous products on the market, WD-40, CRC, Corrosion-X, Boeshield T-9 (also sold by Yamaha), and many other local products. My favorite is the Boeshield T-9, It's expensive, but it outlasts the others 2-3 times.

          Re: Couple of questions

WD-40 seems to get sort of dirty on the engine.

Do all of the oil sprays eventually do this? Or are some better than others to keep things clean?
