I'm new to jetski's and this site as well and am curious as to where i can find a good deal to get a 718 engine. I have the original one out of my ski but it needs to be rebuilt. Does anyone know where i can find one for a good deal? thanks for the help.

Yeah i have to agree (about being a good deal/price from SBT)-i live in Australia and that is why i decided to build my own engine.....Serioiusly, by the time i'm finished, i will have spent much more money that if i had of just ordered one from overseas. The amont of money you spend on tools, help from machining guys, etc......Just get yourself a professionally built motor and be done with it. Then you don't have to spend so much time building (which means more time on the water!). From what i have seen, SBT offer an excellent product for a very reasonable price....i've looked and there are a lot of other companies who rebuild motors for cheaper, but their products are often poor workmanship. If you look over the forum's, etc, you'll also see that SBT offer an excellent no fault warranty. I think they offer a good product.

SBT is the only way to go ,parts and machine work alone will be almost as much as sbt and you don't have a warrenty !!!!!!!:emoticont

I think if I lived outside of the USA, I would order a set of pistons and gaskets and a rebuilt crankshaft from SBT. Then I would take my clyinders to a local machinist and have them bored to fit the SBT pistons. I would then either assemble the motor myself, or pay a pro to do it for me.

No, you do not get but a 12 month warranty on the crankshaft assembly only, but shipping costs for sending the core motor over here and paying to get the new motor can be very expensive and time consuming.
