  • Shrink Wrap for the Winter? Need some advice

I was wondering if someone could give me some pointers when Shrink Wrapping a ski in a freezing climate.

I have wrapped boats but never a ski. Will wrapping a ski cause lots of condensation under the plastic as the days warm and cool repeatedly??

I would imagine it may be wise to keep the seat cracked a light bit. Any tips to it? Air Vents? Anything?

I know 1fastski does it from his site and winterization package. Any tips will be great. :emoticontThanks

Use a no-damp and cut at least one vent like behind the handle bars. Just make a vee shaped cover out of your tape and a small piece of the plastic to prevent snow and rain from getting in.

So you just basically allow the air to get in, but not the water more or less I take it. Does anyone build a frame out of wood like they do with boats? I doubt they do. I've always seen them simply wrapped with nothing more than the plastic which is what I intend to do.

My concern is mostly the moisture and condensation.

leave your seat open and put string from your handle bars to your grab handle that will keep the wrap off your seat . also leave your drain plugs out make sure your engine is well oiled to keep off any wetness .
