  • Rxp Stall Issue

I own a 05' RXP. During the summer. I sucked rocks through the jet. Took out my impeller, wear ring. It stalled my ski's engine dead. I took it in to get repairs. The ski runs fine now. But when I'm on the lake it now starts to hesitate and bog down as if it is gonna stall. I then just let off the throttle and it seems to work its problems out. And I continue on as if nothing ever happened. I haven't gotten the 10hour service done as the last time out on the water was for my summer vacation. And then it got parked for the year. No need for servicing when it never went out again. So in the spring I plan to have my servicing done. And Hopefeully they can resolve my problem unless someone else knows why my ski would act like that? Any help?

I think you need to explain all this to the service manager at the dealership, but I would get it done now, not in the spring.
The reason to do it now, you never know when something like this may tie your RXP up for a long time in a dealership while your buddies are out enjoying their toys.

I often ask my customers why they did not bring it in earlier in the year. They ALL seem to want to wait tiill the last minute, when I am my busiest, in the spring.

Well, Lets just say there is no stale fuel in the tank. As It is impossible to keep fuel in the tank. Uses it like It spits water outta the jet. :psot

As for the other post about taking it in to get service. I took your advice and called as soon as I read the post. So hopefully it will be fixed for next spring/summer.

If anyone else has any other ideas. Please bring them forward. :)

Good move. Now come back here when it is done and tell us why it doesn't do what it was supposed to do, and what the dealer did to fix it.

Easiest and quickest - try swapping the spark plugs out - it has worked in other similar instances.

If that doesn't work ask your dealer to check fuel pump pressure at higher RPMs.

Now that the shortest day is out of the way, summer is right around the corner
