01 xp exhaust manifold

in the photo there is a groove going around the water jackets and exhaust
i was wondering if an o-ring type of seal goes there

Yes, there is a rubber gasket that goes there. If you go to Riva's site (http://216.37.204.203/Seadoo_OEM/Sea...pe=13&A=81&B=6)it is part number 26. SBT might also carry this gasket.

yes i saw it on the 01 xp microfiche it shows the old style but on the 02 it show that new one
which one works better and can you put the older style gasket work

The o-ring is better...Bombardier had a lot of problems sealing the flanges with the gasket, that's why they changed to the o-ring!
