Just bought a 2002 sea-doo 4 tec. Going into the deal I knew the motor had seized. It has 140 hours on it. The pistons and cylinders look as good as new. The bearings are bad, they're not spun and there was no galling but they are tired. The mains are in poorer condition then the rods.
The strange thing is, it's the bottom bearing half's that have the excessive wear. The top half's look as good as new. Are bearing problems common with these engines ? any info about these 4 tecs will be appreciated.
