  • SBT engine

    I bought a used 1999 XP Limited.. I took it to barneys..they wont touch it because it has an SBT engine in it... How do i find out what was done on this engine?

    PS it runs ok..just minor stuff

      What exactly do you want to know?

        Just wanted to know what was done...and when...was it a premium engine? standard? how long ago was it done...stuff like that...

          How could SBT tell you what, how and when without serial numbers from the engine?

              There are no 'standard' or 'premium' engines, those are warranty packages, the blocks are all the same. The serial is stamped and stickered on the front of the head. The pistons are 1mm over and the crank is trued & welded, other than that it's the same as OEM.
