  • Rotax 717 ; Seadoo Sportster

    Hi,

I get the boat to about 45mph with me in it by myself (170 lbs) but i wanted it to go faster, so i attached an inline blower to some marine ducting and channeled it right into the carb. Now when im going full speed I turn on the blower switch and I swear the goes about 55mph. i used a GPS device to track the speed- BUT I wanted to know if what im doing will harm the engine- the engine does not seem to heat up anymore than it used to and I made sure to richen the mixture a bit before trying this. I cannot believe this boat goes so fast! Also when idling in neutral- if I turn on the blower the engine acts like some kind of limiter is kicking in and it "bogs". otherwise its fine.

    Thanks
