  • 657 & 657x whats the difference?

    i just bought a 93 xp, it needs a new crank. someone told me that u could use a crank from a 720 motor. is this true? whats the difference between 657 and 657x motors cause i want to rebuild the top end as well.

    No that's not true, and just about everything is different. You can not mix and match parts.

      the cranks on the 657 and the 657x are the same though right?

        Yes. The crank is one of the very few shared parts between those two.

          for SBT cranks they might be the same , but stock 657 and 657x cranks are differnt , wrist pin bearing is bigger on the 657x
