My son's 99 gtx limited just got a new engine last winter. Charged the battery, put the lanyard on the DESS POST and nothing, no beeps, no gauge display, completely dead. Checked all the fuses (ok), checked ground to engine (ok), checked battery voltage (12.5 v.). Anyone experience this problem before? I'm suspecting the DESS POST might be bad. Also, should there be continuity between the MPEM and the negative side of the battery?
