Two problems with my 1997 GTI seadoo:
1) no fuel gauge reading
2) Intermittent beeps when lanyard is inserted
Last season my fuel gauge stopped working-I took apart the fuel baffle and notice NO problems with the float and the magents were still connected.
I made a jumper connecting the pink wires and installed the lanyard. I noticed no beeps, but the fuel guage recorded a full tank for about 90 seconds then it dropped to empty. Everytime I reinserted the lanyard, it showed full for 90 seconds, then empty.
I then connected the baffle wired and moved it back and forth, moving the float up and down-no reading on the gauge at all. Does this sound like a bad baffle? Perhaps problems with the mpem? The ski has low hours and runs great.
