Messed it up? Overheated?

Hi all, new here, seems like a great site.

I have a new to me 95 spx. Last night my son ran the machine with the hose clamp left on it. I forgot to remove it after flushing it .:emotredf

He said it stalled on him and when he took the seat off, the motor was very hot.
It would not start the rest of the night.

This morning, we got it running, but it stalls and seems to want to shut down, almost as if it was starving for fuel.

Any ideas on what I should do?
