  • PTO won't budge and Valve Cover machining

I just received my 717 from SBT and I am removing the parts off my old engine and have everything off but the PTO. I cant get the PTO to Budge.

    What should I do?

Should I leave it on and return the engine with the PTO still attached?

Then I would also have to find a replacement. It sure came off alot easier in the SBT video :)

I also noticed that the Rotary Valve cover looks to have alot of scratches and looks like it needs to be machined or replaced, where can I get this done? or get a replacement?

We offer the rotary valve cover on exchange, remachined, for $125. We just need the part number stamped on the front of it (separate it from the intake manifold to see it). Yes any damage to it is a problem.

Any extra parts left on your core will be thrown out. I suggest trying a propane torch on it for about 30 seconds, using a longer pipe for leverage, or taking it to any local dealer. Usually they can get it off for you for $20 or so.
