98GS oil light?

Ok I'm not too sure if it's the oil likeor the temperature light but it's under the gas gauge.... It has oil in it... and when I run it slow the light stays off but once I open it up for awhile.. the light will come on... Does anyone know what this is? and how I can fix the problem?
