94 Xp will spark then stop. Plus loud grinding noise
I have a 94 xp with the 657X engine that was just place in about a week ago. I took the ski out today for the first time and it ran, a little sluggish, and then shut off. I got it back to land and started looking it over for ground and power and they both were there. Took it across the street to my shop and noticed that it would spark then stop. I noticed everytime i wiggled the plug wires it would start sparking again then stop. Any Ideas as to what it may be??? I would appreciate the help. Plus When i start the engine it sound like metal just grinding. I can turn the crankshaft by hand, a little hard, and when it bumps over it sound like it is grinding something on the inside. And it is a brand new engine so i dont have a clue. I would appreciate help on both matters.

What caused the original engine to fail and what repairs were made? Have you checked your battery voltage yet?SBT Tech Support is here to help with your problems.
