  • 97XP no fuel

I recently purchased carb rebuild kits for you and I installed them myself but I seem to have a problem with the PTO side carb. The pop off pressure is 32 to 36 psi the n&s ( I did not replace them) does not leak. but I am not getting fuel to that carb, when I remove the carb and check the float area it is pretty much dry. I also cleaned the fuel screen in both carbs. Could the fuel pump be weak? Will a seadoo start on one cylinder (I hope not) I can squirt gas and oil mixture into the carbs and the motor will run for a short while. The original problem I had was would not idle very long but would run great once it start to run. What could be my problem? Thanks

I will guess and say check that you did not block the fuel outlet to the pto carb inside the fuel pump of the mag carbs or whatever carb has the fuel pump on it. It is possible to put the rubber diaphram/gasket in wrong and block fuel from flowing to the other carb. Next I would check to see that the lever in the pto carb is acually opening the pto needle and seat. I have seen guys get the rod in the lever cocked and that will keep the lever from pulling the needle up. Last blow through all fittings on the carbs to see if any are clogged up.

I think I found the problem the fitting for the accelator pump coming out at the bottom of the card was bent cracked causing the carb to suck air I repaired the firring and now I have fuel to that carb.
