Speedometer not working?

I have a 97 model GSX Ltd. with the analog and digital speedometer readouts, and neither one will work. I think I probably need a new sending unit-what do yall think??? Everything is hooked up correctly. Sometimes the speedometer will flutter, like it's getting a signal from the sending unit, but it's intermittit. Where can I get a new sending unit for this jet ski, world of powersports doesn't sell it. Thanks for any help.

I have never had any problem getting a new sending unit from my local Sea Doo dealership. The sending unit is universal and fits most models of year model Sea Doo's of that era.

The reason you cannt find it at WOPS is that Sea Doo never made a 1997 GSX Limited model. It is a 1997 GSX, or a 1998 GSXL.

The last two digits of the VIN number will tell you what year model you have.

Mine flutters too, I was going to track down a bad connection or ground. It's a 2001 XP. Think it could be the sending unit?
