I was trying to follow the SBT engine build process, and was taping the head bolt holes like the video shows to get good clean holes. There was some salt residue so I sprayed a little seadoo lube in the holes to make the tap work easier and help break up the salt. Now I am worried that the excess Seadoo lube in the holes might interfere with the Loctite when I go to put the head on? Any opinion?

Also the local shop told me they don't use loctite on the head bolts becuase they have had to many problems with bolts that get fused between the loctite and salt water. In fact they use a anti seize on the bolts and just torque to proper specs. They say they have never had one back out. Any opinions on that? I did have a couple bolts that I was concerned about the amount or pressure it was taking to break them free.

Clean it with acetone. Use Loctite.
