Replacing the Wear Ring '04 4tec

When I hit the throttle its sluggish, the engine sounds like its about to blow...Could this be because of the dinged up wear ring and impeller, if so. How hard is it to replace the wear ring? And the impeller? Both of mine are dinged up from sucking rocks, and I hear if I replace those i will get my performance back. I am mechanically inclined(with boats) this is my first ski. Any replys would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

With a large vise and impeller tool you can do it in an hour, it's very simple.
