  • Bleeding oil injection lines on 787

I bled my 787's oil injection pump for the required minute/two but my 2 small injection lines havent filled with any oil? The big line are full of oil w/ no air pockets.

I turned the motor over for a minute and they still arent filled with oil. I know the manual says that I may have to start the motor and manually hold the pump lever open to get these oil lines full. I've held it open and turned the motor over for a 30 seconds or so and they still didnt fill up.

Shouldnt me just turning the motor over be enough to fill these lines? Is it common not to have these lines fill with oil like this?
    thank you

Bleeding has nothing to do with the lines from the pump to the engine. They will not fill if you are simply using the starter to turn it over. Start the engine and like it says, hold the pump open, they will fill.

In the meantime, run some premixed gasoline in the gas tank so the motor gets oil while it is filling the lines.
