Rebuilding engine- First how important is the realignment tool ? and if I do a short block will I need the degree wheel?

Alignment is very important. If you don't want to rent/buy the tool and do it yourself you can have a local dealer do it for you. Yes a degree wheel is required for installation of your rotary valve.SBT Tech Support is here to help with your problems.
