seadoo wear ring tight?

Help I put wsm wear rings in my 95 & 96 xp's The leading edge of the prop is touching the ring on both pumps. One prop is stock other is a nujet. You can turn by hand but they are very tight. Is this normal or is something sound wrong? thank you for any help

fire it up..the prop will create its own wear pattern in the wear ring..

I found this out a few years ago. This is totally normal due to the plastic seadoo pumps flexing when you tighten them down. They distort, thats why you probally saw a few shims under the pump lips.
I sprayed some lube on the wear ring and impeller and fired it up. Do the same and you will be just fine.
