  • challenger 1997 seat removal

    hey my friend has a boat and we r tryin to figure out how to remove the seats carefully without anything breaking or ripping. cuz my friends seat vinal is pretty worn out. and really needs to be change. any tips or something we have to do first before? plz help! thx!

    You almost have to be a slinky in terms of getting to the bolts, they are a bit difficult on the bottom of the seats. The top section isn't hard to remove, this is the large seat in the rear I'm talking about here..........You can kinda crawl under the rear lower section and feel the bolts. Remove what you can feel and try to lift the seat out, if it does not come out there is some bolts you have missed, I can't exactly remember how many it is.......but it is one of the hardest things you will go thru with a jet boat.

      Rachelk, got your PM, yeah reach under the seat thru the engine compartment and you should be able to find them, its kind of a tough task to position yourself in that kind of way to reach the bolts, just be careful doing it and try not to rip out and wiring or anything in the engine compartment while doing it.
