THANKS FOR THE REPLY ! WELL I HAVE TAKEN THE BACK COVER OFF AND THE WHITE WHEEL CAN'T BE SPUN BY HAND I REALLY THOUGHT THIS ENGINE WAS SEIZED WHEN I BOUGHT IT. I HAVE STARTED THE PROCESS OF REMOVAL. IF THE CAM IS SEIZED IS IT BEST TO BUY A REBUILT ENGINE OR WOULD YOU JUST REPLACE THE CAM? WELL REALLY WON'T KNOW UNTIL I GET IT OUT BUT AM ALMOST THERE FOR REMOVAL. ANY IDEAS ON WHAT TO DO FROM HERE WOULD BE GREAT! I SHOULD HAVE IT OUT THIS EVENING AND REALLY TEAR INTO IT THIS WEEEKEND. IS IT JUST ME OR SHOULDN'T YOU GET MORE THAN 130 HOURS OUT OF A SEA DOO BEFORE IT SEIZES? WHAT SHOULD I CHECK WHEN REPLACING TO MAKE SURE THIS WON'T HAPPEN AGAIN ? ONCE AGAIN THANKS ALOT!! LOOKING FORWARD TO MORE GREAT ADVICE FROM YOU OR OTHER GREAT SEA DOO EXPERTS.

Any ski can last from 10 seconds to 1000 hours. It's all about maintenance!! These ski's are not able to be rode hard and put away wet (literally). Usually when a crank is locked up, it's because of rust in the crank bearings. This only occurs because of water..

It is always wise to fog the motor if you are going to let it sit for more than a week. if you sucked water that day, you need to fog the hell out of it, or run it REAL hard for at least 30 minutes (on the water) then fog it.

As far as what your motor will need, that will be dependent upon what you find upon disassembly. If the pistons and sleeves are in good shape, then you can get away with a new crank. If the pistons are scored badly, there is damage to the sleeves etc, I would suggest getting a new shortblock.

Either way, SBT will have what you need.
