Charging 98 GTX battery while connected

Just saw a thread about charging battery while connected to SeaDoo. How bad is this? I have been using trickle charger for two years. If it is bad what have I done and to what?

A trickle is not bad.. It's using a running high amperage car battery while hooking up to the ski that's bad. You NEVER jump a battery in the ski. Maintenance on a trickle charger is fine.
