I think I have a shorted out stator. I have the stator and housing off the motor. I used an ohmmeter with one probe on the housing and the other touched the leads from the stator (3 yellow and 1 black). On all leads the meter swings to 0. Does that mean the stator is bad?
Note: battery discharges when hooked up but if I disconnect the wire plug for the stator/pickup it does not discharge.
I think the ski is a 96 year model. The hull # is ZZNL0401E696 5620. The motor serial # is 4781451. It is a GXS. Can someone please confirm the year and engine size from these numbers?
