I have a 2003 supercharged GTX and I rooed it over the first year I had it. after that I would be driving and after 20 minuts or so the check engin alarm would sound and light would go on. I took it into the dealer and they told me that I tripped the roll over sensor and they reset it. How ever I have rolled it over again and i took it to another dealer and they said there is no such thing but they said they can clear the codes, but it didn't work the check engin alarm still sounds. So my question is 1 is there a roll over sensor and 2 is there another way to clear it so I don't have to pay the dealer price of $100 every time I roll it over.

Re: A roll over sensor
TOPS - Tip Over Protection System is a valid system and sensor in your ski. It shuts down the motor if you roll it over and it sets off a code. I have never heard of it making an alarm though... The alarm might have been an oil alarm since the upside down action might have triggered an oil level alarm...
$100 for a dealer to re-set a code is outrageous!! Find another dealer. Most dealers I know of do it for free..Dan Solie -

Re: A roll over sensor
I am thinking that if the check engine light comes on after 20 minutes, you have some other issue besides the TOPS sensor. Those '03's had issues with the oil pressure sensors setting off the sensors and codes. There are two such oil pressure sensors that may need replacing.Bill O'Neal <br>
