  • 787 flywheel thread spec's

    Hello All,

I will be ordering and installing a 787 SBT engine soon for a 97 XP. In the excellent SBT 787 removal/install guide in section 5.8 it states to remove 6 13mm bolts. Section 5.9 states to use a universal puller to remove said flywheel.
How long and what thread pitch are the puller bolts that thread into the flywheel? Are these puller bolts metric?

    Thankyou,

    Tippy

Yes, they are metric and depending on what puller you have will determine what length you will need. It is best for you to take one of your bolts that you have removed to the local hardware store and match the thread pitch and at the same time you can pick out the length you will need.

      Thankyou TS,

Do you know specifically what thread diameter and thread pitch said bolts are?

      Thankyou.
