    Check the rod too, you may be in the midst of a bearing failure!

        It was a dry day about 70 degrees and the water temp was about 52.

          Check your RV cover for a hairline crack on the PTO side.. If you installed Bill's F/A kit, then you removed the stock airbox, that mounts to the head cover as well. Once you install F/A's without a brace (most people don't), then the carbs act as a heavy leverage point against the RV cover.

          Sometimes they crack.
