90 sea-doo

i bought a 90 sea-doo and was wondering what a high speed retifier is and what does it doo i was told mine was out and the dealer ordered a new one was $165.oo my ski wouldnt rev past about 2000 rpms any help out there . is this just a sensor

$165?!?!?! That's a $60 part.. It plugs into the electrical box.. The rectifier is what takes the AC power from the stator and turns it into DC current to power the system and recharge the battery while running. If it goes out, the ski runs like dookey.

there is no high speed retifier no such thing
but there is a regulator retifier

HUH??!! The speedo wheel has NOTHING to do with controlling the RPM's of your ski..
