driveshaft seal replacement 97 gtx

I must have damaged the seal because it sure had a lot of water in the hull, i was running the ski yesterday after replacing the wear ring last week , the ski was losing rpm so i headed for the trailer thinking that the bearings must have been damaged after having the pump apart. but when i got home i started it and pieces of a plastic bag came flying out of the pump.. could a bag cause large amount of water/bilge or is my thru hull seal damaged and how hard to replace ??

Time to take the pump back off, remove the driveshaft and take a close look. Usually not that hard of a job, but you need to get everything out of there so you can take a better look.
