    Ski will start on land bogging down in water seems to be overheating?

    a) gas gauge not working on ski is the sending unit bad ?

      If it's overheating, then you have a blockage somewhere in your cooling system.. Pull off the lines and blow through them.. Are they clear?

      the bogging can be caused by old fuel, bad fuel, carbs in need of a rebuild, fuel system overhaul.. Or, a blown motor.

      take a compression reading, and let us know the results.

      Also, is there any additional history of the ski you can tell us?? last time maintenance was done? Any past problems?
