Yes, I read the post a couple before this one. But, I have some questions that I did not see answered in his post.
First a little info
So, I just got the motor back together and it cranked with a low idle. So I turn it off to grab a screwdriver and adjust it up a bit, Went to crank it and it would just spin. So, I pulled a plug and grounded it while turning it over. No spark.
I tested the pickup and it ohmed out at 249 just like the new one I have waiting in the wings if this one is bad.
All three fuses are good.
I change the M.P.E.M with the one I have waiting in the wings in case it is bad. Still no fire. And yes it has been programmed to my lanyard.
I also have a new coil waiting in wings in case this one is broken.
The only piece I don't have is a voltage regulator and a stator.
So, here are my questions.
1.How can I test the stator without having to change it first?
2. Will a bad voltage regulator cause it not to fire?
3.If I spun the woodruff key it should still fire just at the wrong time, right?
4.Should I be getting 12 volts off and on at the two slide on coil terminals?
5. How can I test to see if I am getting the signal from the M.P.E.M. to trigger the coil?
Anybody, please!!!, I am about to burn this beast.
