97 XP 800 smoke at cold start

Hello

I got a problem with my xp 800 and could not found the problem yet.

At cold start when i start the ski i have a lot of bleu and white smoke.

So i opened my crankcase and check the seals they look good , the hot rod crankshaft have about 25 hrs,

Also check the seal of the rotary shaft for leak , nothing there, also check the injection pump looks ok to.


Could it be my carbs ?? i mean the needle and seat?

Alot of smoke from a 2-stroke at start up is very common.
Hence the name "2-smoke".

All it is, is that your exhaust system and waterbox are pretty much caked with residue laden gunk. Fire it off, and it will smoke.. As long as she runs well, and reaches proper RPM's.. Your fine.
