  • Carb install after rebuild

I have made a rookie mistake. When removing my carb for rebuild, I failed to mark the fuel lines. Now that I'm putting it back in...Which line is the fuel in and which is the return!?

    Its a 2000 SeaDoo GTi.

    Thanks

    Re: Carb install after rebuild

The 'return line" goes directly back from the carbs to the top of the gas tank, not to the fuel filter bowl. The other one is the "on" line.

"on lines" always attach to carbureators at one of the lowest fittings on the side or end of the carbs. "return lines" always attach to the highest fittings on the carbs. The reason is so that any air bubbles can escape through the retun line and not go through the jets.

Some models have a stainless steel splicer in the line not far from the carbureators. that splice is always in the return line if the boat is stock and has not been altered.
