  • 98 GSX , how to tell what motor is in it?

Hey all, looking at buying a 98 GSX, the guy I am getting from says he has no idea what motor is in it, there is a problem with it, and I was just going to buy a new SBT , but I was unsure what displacement the 98 gsx has, I was hoping for 787 because of price, but if it has the 951 which one is it?

Nevermind, if I clicked and looked around more I would find it, its a 98 limited, only gives two options, white or silver 951 engine.

I probably would not buy it if it has the white 947 engine in it because the electronics and the motor are one-off year model parts.
Unless it is free or dirt cheap, stay with a grey motor GSXL.
The grey deck GSXL with the white engine was a prototype model. The full-on production models are equipt with a silver/grey 947 engine and a red deck. They have many upgrades that the grey deck boats do not have.
