Alright guys, I had a guy trade me this jet ski for a pos golf cart I had. The rear cylinder was gaulded so it didn't run when I got it. I put a new engine in that I built. I've hooked everything up and I have no power to any gauges or starter. I can jump the starter at the selinoid and that is the only movement I can get from the ski. I've changed the selinoid and still the same result. I've checked all my grounds and connections still no go. I've had the computer apart and changed the fuses and the two fuses in the back. Which part of the box would cause this. I'm guessing this is where the problem lies. Is there a known flaw with this ski that would cause this to happen? I'm looking for a little advise here. Thanks for your time!

When you plug the dess key in, do you get two beeps?, If not and you only get 1 beep, then your computer needs to be programed to work with your key.SBT Tech Support is here to help with your problems.

Is the front mag cover plug, plugged in? Same for the plug on the top of the black elec box?
On the starter solenoid, you should have a wire, coming off the positive side going to the MPEM too.. Make sure that is there.Dan Solie -

Re: Need ECM Help 96 Seadoo Xp
Pull the gray box that is down by the gas tank... open it up and you will find a black MPEM that has 2 fuses in it, one is a 15 amp, and the other a 7.5 amp. (it might be a 5amp, I cannot remember) one of those is probably blown... if it is chances are good that MPEM (brain) is bad.... also check fuse that is near stater relay in black box, and also if the fuse is blown on the mpem, try dissconnecting the trim completely, I have seen the trim module blow the MPEM fuse. Then install new fuse, and see if it blows, if it doesn't, you should have power to everything.
Good luck, please post your findings!

Re: Need ECM Help 96 Seadoo Xp
I had this happen to a ski I bought non running and I ended up getting a used mpem off of ebay. If you have no power to the gauges and all fuses and grounds are good then no power is getting past the brain and this is your problem.
